VACANCIES - GARAGE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Fishburn Parish Council is seeking volunteers - individual garage plot holders - to support its management of the 50 garage licences/tenancies transferred from Livin Housing Limited to the Parish Council, and to deliver excellent outcomes for tenants. The transfer from Livin relates to the following sites:
- Stobart Terrace East and West.
- North of Salvin Terrace.
- Regent Terrace.
- Millfield Road.
The Management Committee will oversee the following:-
• Collecting and administering rents;
• Administering tenancies;
• Letting plots and new tenancy agreements;
• Enquiries from prospective tenants including site visits;
• Inspecting individual plots on a regular basis;
• Resolving disputes and dealing with complaints;
• Arranging day-to-day maintenance of the site;
• Managing alterations and improvement works.
The Chairman/Chair of the committee will report the outcome of committee meetings to the Parish Council, ensuring that necessary oversight is maintained. These positions provide the opportunity to gain further governance and leadership experience. They are being offered on a voluntary basis, and full support and training will be provided.
